one of my all time favorite wall pieces. it has a bit of creep to it, and also wants to be nestled into a study with old books, taxidermy and a fire. nice juicy chunk of walnut with two roots i found while walking in the mountains of northern california. the roots have been painted with high gloss black enamel. below are two “imitation” roots made of black thread wrapped pieces of rope.

something about the seated shapes of the roots makes me think of two people deep in conversation, the one on the left pleading their point. this one is special!

easy install with two holes on the back. nails included in shipment.
