Inspired by the new, strange growth that emerges after fire, and by mycelial networking, this piece evokes the deep forest - or deep sea. Made from a gorgeous live edge slab of camphor burl, the bark having been meticulously removed to uncover the beautiful landscape/cavern patterns at the bottom half of the piece. The “buds” are made using a loose paper flower technique with paper, cotton, viscose and horsehair. A fine treasure.
